Business settings
Within the business settings section of the My Easy Eatery control panel, you can set the various details of your business. From editing contact information to selecting your opening hours and much more, it can all be managed here.
The main field at the very top of the page, 'Business name,' allows you to set the name of your business across your entire website.
Beyond this, we divide the settings page into several sections:
On this page:
Business address
You can enter your business address into the fields provided in this section. Easy Eatery uses this address throughout your website in multiple locations.
None of the fields are mandatory, but to make it easy for your guests to find you, we recommend adding at least the first line of the address and the postcode. You don't need to add your business name here.
Once you've added your address, you must position the map marker correctly.
To do this, click the 'Search' button; this will run a search based on the address you entered. From the results that appear, select the closest match to your address — it doesn't have to be exact — and the map marker will move to the general area of your business.
You can then fine-tune the map marker's position to ensure it's in precisely the right place. Do this by clicking on and then dragging the map marker with your mouse.
If none of the search results are any good, don't worry. You can position the marker manually using the same drag-and-drop method — it may just take a little longer.
It's vital to ensure the map marker is placed directly over your venue because Easy Eatery uses the coordinates of this map marker rather than your address when it generates the 'directions URL' that your customers may use to find your business.
Opening hours & serving times.
Below the address search are two similar-looking sections, opening hours and serving times. Functionally these two sections are identical, but they serve different purposes.
It may not come as a surprise to learn that the opening hours section lets you define when your business is open, and you may be shocked to learn that the serving times section enables you to set the times your business is serving food.
How to set your opening hours.
Down the left side of the opening hours section, you'll see each day of the week, starting on Sunday.
The orange 'plus' button to the right of each day's name allows you to add an 'open period' to that particular day.
For each period you add, you must set both an opening and a closing time.
You can add multiple periods like this to each day of the week, but periods must not overlap, and you must add them in time order (earliest first).
You can delete an open period by hovering your mouse over the row and clicking the red trash icon that appears.
How to set your serving times.
You can set your serving times the exact same way as you manage your opening hours.
Food standards rating
You can choose to enable the food standards rating on your website here.
Once set up and enabled, the official food.gov.uk rating for your business will appear on your website.
To set this up correctly, you must first find your business on https://ratings.food.gov.uk/.
To do this, click the 'search' icon on the right of the 'Link to your business' field and the Food Standards website will open in a new browser window.
Enter your business name and postcode into the search box in the middle of the page and click the 'search' button underneath.
Find your business in the search results list and click on your profile.
Then, when viewing your profile, go to your web browser's address bar, select and then copy the web address of your business' profile.
Then, go back to Easy Eatery's control panel and paste the address you copied into the 'Link to your business' field.
Finally, set the 'Food standards rating' field to match the score found on your profile page.
If you choose to enable this feature you must provide a link to your profile on https://ratings.food.gov.uk/. Without a valid profile link in this field your ratings badge will not appear, even if enabled.
Website details
This section allows you to define some basic settings for your website. At the time of writing, the three fields available are:
Field: | Description: |
---|---|
Copyright holder | The copyright holder is the name of the business that owns the website's brand and content copyright. Typically, this would be the name of the business or parent company, if one exists. Easy Eatery uses this content in the copyright notice. |

Currency symbol | The currency symbol in use across the website, whenever pricing is displayed. If your currency symbol is not supported please contact us at support@easyeatery.co.uk and we'll get it added for you. |
Contact information
This section allows you to set your contact details for your customers to find on your website. Both fields are optional, but you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't add them.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Contact telephone | This should be your main phone number for the business. |
Contact email address | This should be the main email address for the business. |
Social media links
If you have any presence on social media, you'll want to add links to your profiles to your website — you can do that right here.
Paste in any links to your profiles on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or YouTube here and links to these pages will automatically appear on your website.
You can also add a link to your profiles on Google and TripAdvisor.
These links will be grouped in with your other social media links.
Food delivery service links
If you use any food delivery services, you can add links to your profile on those websites.
We currently support Deliveroo, Food Hub, Just Eat Kukd.com and Uber Eats.
How to reorder social media links
You can reorder your social and food delivery service links by dragging and dropping each list into your preferred order using the handle to the left of each link.
