The video embed field
This field allows you embed video content from either YouTube or Vimeo on your website.
As standard, this field is only available for use within the video embed block.
However, this type of field can also be added to custom blocks.
Below you find an example of this field within the video embed block:
The video embed field has two parts:
- The Video URL field, and
- The preview window.
The above example shows the field in its 'empty' state.
Use the video embed field by copying any video URL from YouTube or Vimeo and pasting it into the Video URL field.
If the pasted URL is valid, Easy Eatery will clean up the Video URL to remove any extra content not required to load the video and will then load the video into the preview window:
If the provided URL is not valid, the Video URL field will turn red and no video preview will be shown.
Changing the URL within the Video URL field will cause the preview to be refreshed.
The video embed field can only embed single videos rather than channels or playlists into your website. Embedding video content from third-party sources other than YouTube and Vimeo is not supported within the video embed field. However, you may be able to use the code field to do this.
