Disabling and deleting users

On this page we cover the steps required to disable and delete user accounts.

The key difference between disabling and deleting accounts is that when a user account is disabled, it can be re-enabled at any time.

With a deleted account however, it cannot be restored and must be re-created.

For an account to be either disabled or deleted, it must not be a master account.

How to disable a user account

Visit the 'Users' section of your 'My Easy Eatery' control panel and click the 'Edit' button on the account you wish to disable.

At the very top of the user form, you'll see a 'Status' box, as indicated by the orange arrow below:

In the select field, you can change the options between:

  • User account is enabled
  • User account is disabled

To disable the account, change this select field to the disabled option and click the orange 'Save changes' button at the bottom of the screen.

After doing so and entering your password to confirm the changes, the selected account will now be disabled.

To reverse the process, follow the same steps but change the 'Status' field to the enabled option.

How to delete a user account.

Deleting a user account is a somewhat similar process to disabling one, although unlike disabling an account, this process cannot be undone.

Visit the 'Users' section of your 'My Easy Eatery' control panel and click the 'Edit' button on the account you wish to delete.

However, this time, at the very top-right corner of the form, as indicated by the orange arrow, there's red button labelled 'Delete this user account'.

Click this and you'll be shown an dialog popup, asking you if you're sure you wish to proceed.

If you click 'Confirm deletion', the user's account will be deleted.

If you click 'Cancel', no action will be taken.
